My Dog Is My Home is celebrating the 10-year anniversary of its founding, featuring its beginning as an exhibition that drew upon the personal stories of human-animal families experiencing homelessness.
This multi-location event will kick off with a Thanksgiving opening show in New York City. The celebration will feature artwork from My Dog Is My Home’s original exhibition and center the voices of people with lived experience of homelessness with a companion animal. Stories of lived experience are the keys to true connection and compassion. Local storytellers at the event will share their experiences in their own words. Their experiences guide our work and inspire change.
